Blink was surrendered to the shelter after living in a feces-infested back yard for 14 years. He had never been groomed, never been taken in to see a vet, and never been shown an ounce of compassion. Blink was one of four dogs surrendered in the same condition from the household; his coat was wet from rain storms week prior, but he was just too matted to dry back out again. His eyes bulged from his head as he was suffering from a severe case of glaucoma in both eyes. He was quickly admitted for a consultation with our Veterinarian and it was concluded that both eyes were to be removed. During his procedure, he was shaved free of his painfully matted coat and he could walk again – something he likely could not do for years before. Thanks to donors like you, Blink was rehabilitated, learned to trust again and began to live his days comfortable while he was loved unconditionally – a feeling he had never experienced prior to his arrival.
