George was taken in by the Wood family after his being shuffled around to three known homes and widnding up in a terrible situation with a family who did more than neglect him. He was HW +, covered in scabs/scars, and he had an infected wound on his leg. They agreed to take him into their home as a foster and find him a forever home through LHS. They had a trip to take before committing to his care and upon return he would be vetted and adopted. While they were away a pet sitting company was watching him. He stopped eating and became deathly ill but they did not mention or notice the problem until it was too late. Poor George passed away from an obstruction due to something he ate while in their care. The Wood family recovered $1000 from the pet sitting company for their negligence of his care. The $1000 was then donated to LHS in memory of George so his passing does not go without notice.
Thank you Wood family for taking care of George
Rest in Peace George, you will be missed
