Princess’ Story:
Sherrie Brewer-Davis is a lady with whom I have worked at two different companies so I have known her for quite some time and know her history. She has faced many trials and tribulations in her life. Sherrie is a single parent caring for a teenage son and the cost of living has been overwhelming recently. She works fulltime and part-time positions to attempt to pay all the expenses. However, of late, she hasn’t been fairing well. Last week the electricity was shut off the day before our payday and then she ran out of gas on her way to work that same morning. That same day she paid her electric bill, but, I am sure the fees took a toll on any extra money she had. I am sure she wouldn’t want her private matters exposed to our office; however, she has known me so long, she feels she can talk to me. Sherrie recently asked me if I knew a vet that might offer their services at a discount and would let her pay off a visit to check on the health of her Shih-Tzu, Princess.
Princess was born in December 2002 with a skin condition that leaves open sores on her back. After treatment with 5 different antibiotics, the condition was under control until a short while ago. She also has a tumor on her right eyelid, which obstructs her view and causes drainage with occasional bleeding. Despite these problems, Princess remains mild mannered and enjoys affection and pampering.
I know that Sherrie loves Princess and hurts that she doesn’t have the funds to take care of her medical issues. I know that Sherrie (and Princess, too) would be very grateful for any assistance received.
Princess needs list:
Eye surgery, skin treatment, spaying, shots, vaccines, and food.
Princess wish list:
Microchip, and grooming including nail clipping.
