Junior’s Story:
About 4 months ago we moved here to Texas from WI. At first it was an easy transition however it became more difficult to find a job and our Junior started feeling the financial stress of it all. About two weeks ago we were so beaten down that we attempted to find Junior a better home. We contacted Jennifer Bither at “For Love of the Heelers” and started the surrender process. We met her at Petco and my wife and I sat next to Junior while customers passed by looking at him. My wife had to get up and walk away for a while because she couldn’t stop crying. But after I saw Jennifer Bither’s motivation to help these animals any way she can we gained a little hope back. So with their help we started researching ways we can try and keep Junior by contacting shelters for help with food and heartworm preventative. We are VERY thankful for this because Junior will finally get his first dose of heartworm preventative!
However, even through this help we are still running low on supplies. We are hoping for some more help with food and since our budget is extremely tight Junior hasn’t had a bone or toy bought for him in almost a year.
Junior’s vet visit is scheduled for March for vaccinations but again we don’t know how our situation will be then either. We would very much appreciate ANY help towards food, boarding, future vet visit, toys or bones. We thank you so much again for helping us keep Junior. We love him very much.
Junior’s needs list: 6-12 months of HW prev, HW test, bones, food, and vaccinations.
Junior’s wish list: Toys, and $80 to cover boarding for Junior so the family can visit their family for New Years
**Update: Doggie Wonderland in Coppell has graciously offered to cover Juniors boarding from December 30th – January 8th!
